Claudia Keupen (Traunstein 1971) ist Gewinnerin des Kunstpreises “Artists of Mallorca” 2023.
Mit ihrem großformatigen abstrakten Gemälde “Poem to the ocean”, inspiriert durch die Poesie des persischen Dichters Rumi, wurde sie unter 200 Teilnehmern von der Jury ausgewählt.
Worte und Wortfragmente aus Songtexten und Gedichten fließen in ihre Kunst ein. Sie erscheinen als sichtbare Zeichen, sind aber Botschaften, die jenseits der Sprache liegen. Claudia Keupens Werke verbinden Poesie und zeitgenössischer Malerei. Ihre Werke sind “painted poems.”
Die Künstlerin arbeitet multidisziplinär. Ihr Werk, international ausgestellt, umfasst abstrakte großformatige Malerei und zeitgenössische Porträtmalerei sowie digitale Kunst. Sie lebt zusammen mit ihrem Mann, dem Fotografen Manfred Keupen in Casa Maribel, einem historischen Stadtpalast in Palma. “Sharing Creativity” ist das Motto des Künstlerhauses, in dem inspirierende Menschen sich treffen und kreativ ergänzen.

Born in Traunstein in 1971, Claudia Keupen is the winner of the 2023 Artists of Mallorca art prize.
Her large-format abstract painting ‘Poem to the Ocean’ inspired by the poetry of the Persian poet Rumi was selected by the jury from the 200 entries.
Words and fragments from song lyrics and poems flow into her art, appearing as visible signs but also as messages that go beyond language. Keupen combines poetry and contemporary painting and describes her artistic work as “painted poems”.
She takes a multidisciplinary approach, whereby her portfolio of international exhibits includes abstract large-format paintings and contemporary portraits as well as digital art. She lives with her husband, photographer Manfred Keupen, in Casa Maribel, a historic palace in Palma. ‘Sharing Creativity’ is the motto of this artistic haven where inspiring people meet and complement each other creatively.

El jurado la eligió de entre 200 participantes por su cuadro abstracto de gran formato Poem to the ocean («poema al océano»), inspirado por la poesía del poeta persa Rumi.
Palabras y fragmentos de palabras extraídos de letras de canciones y poemas se integran en su arte. Aparecen como signos visibles, pero son mensajes que van más allá de la lengua. Las obras de Claudia Keupen combinan poesía y pintura contemporánea. Sus obras son «poemas pintados».
El trabajo de esta artista es multidisciplinar. Sus obras, expuestas internacionalmente, incluyen la pintura abstracta de gran formato y los retratos contemporáneos, así como el arte digital. Vive con su esposo, el fotógrafo Manfred Keupen, en Casa Maribel, un palacio histórico de Palma. Sharing creativity («compartir la creatividad») es el lema de este estudio de arte en el que se reúnen personas que se inspiran y complementan de forma creativa.
