Katrin Kirk ist eine dänische Künstlerin, die seit vielen Jahren auf Mallorca in einer alten Schuhfabrik lebt und arbeitet. Als Autodidakt reiste und lebte sie in verschiedenen Ländern, bevor sie von der Schönheit und der Inspiration der Insel angezogen wurde.

Sie ist eine spirituelle Wanderin, die nie länger als zwei Jahre an einem Ort blieb, Ihre meist dreidimensionalen Arbeiten sind Kompositionen aus Licht und Schatten, aus subtilem Stahlgeflecht und zarter Malerei, die den Betrachter in eine magische Welt ziehen. Form, Silhouette, Schatten und Spiegelungen verbinden sich in einer mehrdimensionalen Weise. Die Künstlerin schafft aus Metallgeflecht Skulpturen Bilder, die ein Gefühl der Ruhe hervorzurufen und die Zeit einfangen.

Sie genießt die Herausforderungen der Arbeit mit einem Material, das von etwas Hartem in etwas Leichtes verwandelt werden kann, das mit Tiefe und Schatten spielt. Katrin Kirk is a self-taught Danish artist who has been living and working in an old shoe factory on Mallorca for many years now. She travelled and lived in countless different countries before settling on the island, drawn and inspired by its beauty. She is a spiritual wanderer, who previously never stayed in one place for more than two years. She combines fine steel mesh and delicate painting in her mostly three-dimensional compositions of light and shadow to draw viewers into a magical world. Shapes, silhouettes, shadows and reflections fuse to create multidimensional works of art. Kirk uses metal mesh to shape sculptures that capture time and evoke a sense of calm. She enjoys the challenges of working with a material that can be transformed from something hard into something light and plays with depth and shadows. Her knowledge of meditation reinforces her understanding of the world of opposites and is today still an essential component of her artistic work that she produces in a tranquil setting.

Katrin Kirk es una artista danesa que desde hace muchos años vive y trabaja en Mallorca en una antigua fábrica de zapatos. Antes de sentirse atraída por la belleza y la inspiración de la isla, esta autodidacta viajó y vivió en muchos países. Es una viajera espiritual, que nunca había permanecido más de dos años en un mismo lugar. Sus obras, en su mayoría tridimensionales, son composiciones de luces y sombras, sutiles mallas de acero y delicadas pinturas que atraen al espectador a un mundo mágico. Forma, silueta, sombra y reflejos se combinan de forma multidimensional.

A partir de mallas metálicas, crea imágenes esculturales que evocan una sensación de calma y capturan el tiempo.
