Verlagsgründer, Buddhist, Poet, Künstler – das Lebenswerk von Reinhard Stammer folgt nach seinen eigenen Worten keinem erkennbaren Plan.
Seine Werke sind geprägt von seinem Denken und seinem Erleben. Man spürt die Leidenschaft, das Exzessive und die Einflüsse von Budhismus und Advaita. Stammer hat einige Jahre in Indien verbracht. Großen Einfluss hatte Ramesh Balsekar in Bombay und seine Lehre des NICHT-SEIN. Er war Revoluzzer, Dichter, Unternehmer und dem Tode nah. Alles das drückt sich in seinen expressiven, ungezügelten Werken aus, fröhlich und bunt oder düster und melancholisch – aber immer kompromisslos.

Seine Pinselstriche sind geführt von intuitiven Entscheidungen und ergeben doch in Farbe, Komposition und Ausdruck ein in sich schlüssiges Werk, ein Ausdruck der Höhen und Tiefen des Lebens. Seine einzigartige, persönliche Technik und Bildsprache machen seine Werke unverwechselbar.
Stammer lebt und arbeitet heute mit seiner Frau und vielen Katzen in Sineu auf Mallorca.

Fundador de una editorial, budista, poeta, artista: según sus propias palabras, la obra vital de Reinhard Stammer no sigue ningún plan evidente.
Sus obras están marcadas por su pensamiento y sus vivencias. Uno siente la pasión, el exceso y las influencias del budismo y la advaita. Stammer ha pasado algunos años en la India. Le influyó mucho Ramesh Balsekar, en Bombay, y su doctrina del NO SER. Fue revolucionario, poeta, empresario y estuvo cerca de la muerte.

Todo ello se expresa en sus obras, expresivas y desenfrenadas, alegres y coloristas, u oscuras y melancólicas, pero siempre sin concesiones. Sus pinceladas se guían por decisiones intuitivas y, sin embargo, dan como resultado una obra coherente en términos de color, composición y expresión, una expresión de los altibajos de la vida. Su técnica, única y personal, y su lenguaje visual hacen que sus obras resulten inconfundibles.

En la actualidad, Stammer vive y trabaja con su mujer y muchos gatos en Sineu (Mallorca).

Founder of a publishing house, Buddhist, poet, artist – according to Reinhard Stammer, his life’s work follows no discernible plan.

His art is shaped by his thoughts and experiences; one can sense the passion, excess and influences of Buddhism and Advaita. Stammer spent several years in India where he was greatly influenced by Ramesh Balsekar in Bombay and his doctrine of non-doing. A revolutionary, poet, entrepreneur and near-death survivor, Stammer conveys all of this in his expressive, untamed work that is at times cheerful and colourful and at others dark and melancholic, but always uncompromising.

Though his brush strokes are guided by intuitive decisions, his work remains coherent in colour, composition and expression, a reflection of the highs and lows in his life. His unique, personal technique and visual language make for unmistakable work.
Stammer today lives and works with his wife and many cats in Sineu on Mallorca.
